The second baby do's & donts

I am so not as uptight with Lyla. I guess it's because she is number 2. Emery had bows on her head every day since she was born. I think Lyla got one for her pictures only.
I dressed Emery up every day, Lyla has been in onesies every day.
I am fine with nursing in Public, I would have NEVER done this with Emery. Yes I do cover up but I'm like whatever everyone has seen a boob right?
It's Ok for a baby to cry this time. Not long But I don't worry something is wrong every second.
Lyla Got a paci at two weeks, with Emery i waited until 4.
We are out in public every day.
SO far Lyla is a great baby! Has some fits when she need to go number 2 but other than that she is so sweet :).
The above picture cracks me up. Emery is having some trouble adjusting to all the new changes. New baby, new house, new room that is upstairs, has only a crib and boxes in it. Lots of NEW. So I don't think she is quite comfortable yet in her new room which is understandable. If you'd see it you would be on her side. My goal is to get her room comfy in the next week or two. So I took this pic Sunday morning. I woke up and walked in the living room to find Archie on the couch and Emery on the living room floor face down passed out. I asked Archie "What's this?!"
His reply " I don't know she was wired and I fell asleep and she ran around for about an hour and a half and then I guess she just passed out like this."
REALLY?!?! Funny but scary at the same time!

Lyla Brooke Hebert

Above is a picture of Emery on her way home from the hospital. Below is our newest addition Lyla about to leave the hospital. They look exactly alike. So similar it's scary!
Here is Lyla's Birth story:
Sunday February 12th I turned 36 weeks prego. Around 4:30 P.m. I started having mild contractions. Archie decided to leave and go check on things at the hut and I needed to head to HEB to get Milk for Emery. As I walked the aisles of HEB i started to cry my contractions were hurting me so bad. So as Emery and I headed back home I called Archie in tears asking him to come home and help with Emery so I could get through the pain.
He got home around 6 and I was on the floor trying to think of what to do.
He insisted we go to the hospital or call someone so I called my friend Natalie and asked her if she thought It was for real. My contractions were 3 and five minutes apart pretty consistently. She suggested we go get checked but That they would not be back for another hour or two to be able to watch Emery.
So I called my mom who had just got back to Lake Charles from our house. They had come and helped us pack up the rest of the house. On a side note we went and looked at the new house earlier that day around noon and I played a joke on her yelling from upstairs that my water had broke. We laughed and she said watch it Candice Don't jinx yourself. As i called and told her we may head to the hospital she said I told you so!
So back to the story. Around 7:30 we went to the hospital. Me, Archie, & Emery. They sent me to triage and Archie and Emery to the waiting area.
I told nurse Beth that there was NO WAY this could be happening because I am moving on Friday. She informed me that I was 3 cm, almost 100% effaced and my water bag was halfway out.
GREAT! So she went and told Archie and he brought emery to the Nances for the night who so nicely let me daughter sleep in their bed. Thank you Natalie!
I got an epidural at 5cm, and stayed at 6 for the night.
Dr broke my water at 630 am on Monday
Lyla was born at 929 am February 13, 2012 6 lbs 1 oz and 19.5 inches long.
She had Jaundice (so did Emery) but other than losing a little weight shes perfect! We are so blessed and thankful for everyone that helped us that week. it is truly a blur but somehow we had a baby on Monday and moved a whole house on that Friday.
Lyla is long and skinny. her feet are definitely longer then Emerys were.
Emery has been great with Lyla. Always kissing her and patting her head. So Sweet :)
I sent this one to my BF Tiffany and she said the caption to this picture is Emery saying
"Lyla you will obey me"
I think its a perfect caption LOL

14 days, 37 days

14 days until we close on both homes and move all of our stuff into the new house. 14 DAYS!!! I am excited and nervous all in the same breath. How am I ever going to get all of this packed?? Please pray it all goes smoothly.

AND 37 days (or less) until we welcome another blessing into the world. What will it be a Girl or a Boy??? As I was packing up the box with Emery's custom bedding in it I labeled in black marker the destination as either attic or baby room. Ha because who knows! I am feeling pressure and in pain and uncomfortable but I remember this stage last pregnancy. The last weeks are not for being comfortable. Plus I am doing way too much but it's gotta get done ya know! I try and pack a few boxes every night. And I must say I think I have put a nice dent in it. These last two weeks will be more then a few boxes a night I'm afraid. But we will get it done! I cant wait to get moved in and then start getting ready for a new baby :))
This SOLD sign showed up in our yard the other day. :)
This is how my house looks all over. Boxes and stuff everywhere. I am trying to be as organized about it as possible but at some point you just keep stuffing boxes and stacking them.
Emery can be found at any moment either in the boxes or taking stuff out of them or sitting in the kitchen like a sweet girl while mommy tries to pack one more box for the day.
I did leave a space for her to get in and out of her cottage :)
