Exhausted

Archie and I had a nice relaxing weekend at the JW Marriot hill country in San Antonio. Such a nice place with and awesome pool/ lazy river/water slides and etc. I can't wait to take our kids one day!! My goal for the weekend was to get lots of rest because I have been OH SOO tired. Its so different being prego with a little one because I can't just come home and nap on the couch, I have a little one to entertain. So I have been sneaking in naps on my lunch break in Parking garages and parking lots. SO if you see me napping in my car please do not disturb :)
Anyways back to the rest.... Archie slept five times more than me! We would go in the room for a 30 minute nap and he would sleep for two and a half hours while I watched TV. Guess he needed some rest too lol! My mom and Aunt Lisa had a great time watching Emery while we were gone.

Archie is out of town for work until Friday night so it's just me and Emery. I am hoping the "exhausted" phase is soon over. This momma needs her energy back!

WOOPS! Baby #2

Well it's official we are pregnant with baby #2. I know some of you are reading the title and thinking "Why is she putting Woops, she said she was ready?" Yes I did say that But on the weekend of July 4th Archie and I sat down and had a little "conversation" that ended with us coming to the conclusion that we are not ready. In our minds we had nothing to worry about because we never were trying and I thought I was doing everything right in the preventing department. Well God obviously had a different plan!
Rewind to the weekend of July 9th. We were in Lake Charles having a great weekend and that Saturday night Archie and I had a date night and ate at Mazens then met up with Kristi and some friends for drinks after. It was a good weekend, but in the back of my mind I thought maybe I was late but said it could wait until Monday.
So Monday July 11th Archie started his Brand new job! He was so excited and nervous at the same time. We also came home with a sick little girl :( Remember it was bad for three nights. Real bad. Anyways That Monday I was in Kingwood and on my lunch break I ran into Target to get some Vicks for her humidifier and went ahead and picked up a box of tests. Checked out and went to the Target bathroom where the Test basically screamed at me +. I began to hyperventilate right then. Then I texted Archie a picture of the test with the caption to call me ASAP. He couldn't. It was his first day at his new job! As I sat in the Target parking lot balling my eyes out my cousin Stacey called and she knew immediately and was so bubbly and happy about it and I was screaming "how am I gonna do this?! I'm Not ready! I said I was but I'm not! I just got back into my clothes! My daughter is 8 months old! Holy moly!" To which she continued to tell me how wonderful it was that they were going to be close in age etc... I went straight to my Ob and got a blood test and knew by 3pm on Monday the 11th that we were definitely prego.
The next few days Archie and I were in Holy Sh** mode and with Emery having the worst nights in her life we questioned whether we were capable of raising two. I will admit I was/am scared out of my mind. My babies will be 16 months apart!! Yes it will be fun when they are older but that first year is going to be rough. Oh and did I mention I'm due at the beginning of March RIGHT in the middle of Crawfish Season?!?! And I wanted to be in a bigger house before #2 but you know what, it will ALL work out just fine. Archie and I never do things the easy way so we are used to crazy :) We are scared and excited all at the same time. We will figure it out and he or she will fit right in our busy little lives.
Now to decide if we want the sex to be a surprise......
