this and that

Looks like it has been a while since i have posted but we have been a little busy! I was in San Antonio for work this week for a much needed refresher. Then came back and had another Doctors appointment. Heart rate was good, she says we are great! I went and had my Rhogam shot which was not bad at all. While I was there I was informed that the Hospital registration I mailed in somehow never made it into the hospital database so i had to register while I was there.
Archie and I have been working on Emery's room and are still unsure of how the end result is going to look. We ordered a chair and as soon as it comes in we can put her name on the wall above her crib. I am very excited about this! I ordered her name in Vinyl lettering from a website http://vinylletterdecor.com/. You can custom make what you want, in whatever color and font you want. Its precious! After shopping with Jennifer on Saturday I know Emery is going to take all of my money! There are just so many cute things I can't pass up.
I finished putting all 19 of my hostess gift bags together. Yes 5 gifts for the Houston shower and 14 for the Lake Charles shower. I am so lucky to have such great friends and family all wanting to help throw Emery a party! I ordered some cute gifts from a friend of mine at http://www.etsy.com/shop/giftchick. They turned out perfect!
We are counting down to our babymoon in 5 days. We leave Friday for Key Largo for one last trip just me and Archie. I am looking forward to relaxing and soaking up some sun. So please no storms while we are there!!

Solo

Archie is at his hunting camp this weekend doing stuff to prepare for this years hunting season. Which I think may just be a waste of his time since HELLO his child will be born right in the middle of hunting season. But if it makes him feel better than that's OK :). Today its him and the 3 Fontenot boys (all under the age of 9 i think), which may be a little scary except that these boys are pretty self sufficient and are probably teaching Archie a few things. I stayed home because of the number you see to the left of here. Today it says 90 days to go. And yet I have nothing done so I said I would stay here to get organized and work in Emery's room. The problem is I have nothing to work with! No closet stuff so i cant put things away, no bedding so I cant paint, so much for my plan. Being here without Archie makes me realize once again how needy I am of him. I just like to be around him. Not that I have to have him here to do things I just want him around, in the same vicinity of me.
On another note My third trimester has begun! We had a good checkup on Thursday and the Dr said I will need to go to the hospital after my next visit so that I can get the RhoGam shot. This is because I have the blood type Rh-Negative and may be at risk for "hemolytic disease of the newborn." Thanks to modern science all I need is the shot and voila no worries. I really can't wait until my next ultrasound which is Sept 9th, my last on was at 20 weeks which was 7 weeks ago. I wish they would look more often. this one will be 3D so we can get a good close up view of Emery. Well I guess I'm off to the SuperTarget to kill time. Hope all is well with yall!

Woe is me

This past weekend we traveled to Baton Rouge to see Archie's cousin Everett get married. We were so happy to be there for him. He is the nicest most caring person I know. A great, genuine guy and we can't wait to see him again and his wife soon.
On another note I am think I may be going through somewhat of a phase. What phase you ask? Well I haven't come up with a name for it yet but let me try to explain. And I am not trying to be selfish nor do I want a pity party. I have always been one to workout and do my best to stay in some sort of shape. Was I ever happy with my body? Probably not but at least I had some sort of control over it. Now is a totally different story! I have NO CONTROL over this belly! One day I feel like "well I guess i look ok for 6 1/2 months" and the next morning I wake up and think "GEEZE Louise this body is large." I am trying to work out and eat right but It seems to help very little. Also Where in the heck does all the cellulite come from??!!! I mean Really cottage cheese please! The so called belly attention is another story. I don't mind it that much sometimes but then other times I wish people wouldn't say "Aww look at your belly how cute" Do they think you don't know you have a belly? Who are you again, do i even know you? I don't like all the attention on the Largest part of my body thank you very much! I know I know it's all part of the process and every mom goes through it, guess I am just whiny today :0 Don't get me wrong I LOVE LOVE Emery so much already and love feeling her move inside me I just can't wait until we meet her. I wonder who she is going to look like.
And Oh how I miss alcohol! I am not an alcoholic but I SO miss drinking. I know they say you can have a glass of wine but I don't want just a glass of wine. I want The bottle and I want to enjoy it and not worry about it. Maybe even two bottles ;) Men could Never give up drinking for 9months! OK I think my bit**ing is done for the day. I hope all is well with each of you and keep your fingers crossed that Emery's bedding comes in this week so I can start doing something!

Wedding Weekend!

We traveled to Lake Charles this weekend to my Cousin Tara's wedding. She was A gorgeous bride! I am so Happy for her and Joe and we welcome him into the family. While we were there we got to hang out with Family and of course the kiddos. They get more and more fun each time we get together. They love the pool and have the Best skin tone ever. Stacey's husband Luke has an olive complexion and all three kids got his gene in that department. They are always looking tan! Anyways at the wedding Archie was their "ringleader" and had a blast playing with them. But I must admit he was worn clean out when we got home! He enjoyed it soo much though and it really makes me smile to watch him playing with them. He is so good with them and I just know he is going to be an awesome father.
Here is a slide show of pics from the wedding

On another note... Archie received an anonymous letter in the mail today. No return address or sign of who sent it. They just wanted to let Archie know what name he should pick! So funny!!!! And by the way, this is the name we have picked. It won the "name drawing out of the hat contest" and we both love it!
