March 4th 2010 I immediately started taking Metformin. This was suppose to get me on track but it also gave me side effects. March 9th I went for 14 day labs to check my hormone levels. The results came back and they were extremely low so she said to start the Clomid two days earlier than planned. Well Friday March 19th I was packing for my work trip to New Orleans the next week and wanted to get all my scripts filled before going out of town. But Just for the heck of it I said before I go spend all the money on the Meds let me take a pregnancy test just in case. Positive! The Test read Positive!! I really did not believe it and after talking with the nurse at my doctor’s office I really convinced myself it was a chemical pregnancy since I had not even begun taking the meds. I told Archie “Let’s not even get our hopes up.” SO then I was out of town for a week, misery. Monday March 29th I went in for the blood draw to check HCG levels and Tuesday found out I was Pregnant. They said my levels were really high which meant either I was having twins or I was further along than we thought. Again in the back of my head I still didn’t believe it. Not Until I saw the Baby on the Ultrasound screen April 13th. How amazing!!! As soon as I heard the heartbeat I lost it. When you think that it’s going to be a tough process it really reminds you of what to not take for granted. It puts a lot of things into perspective and even though I got Pregnant before I had to start The Clomid I have a new outlook on those that have to go through it. The baby measured 9 weeks and four days at my ultrasound. This means November 12th is my due date. So I was pregnant the whole time and did not know it. I was pregnant when I sat down with my Doctor on March 4th and she told me I was going to need Clomid to get pregnant. God works in mysterious ways! SO now I am just waiting until 12 weeks to tell our friends. I am so nervous and will feel much calmer after I hit that 12 week mark. Told the Family at 11 weeks and the most asked question…..”Are you still going to be a vegetarian since your pregnant?” Answer: Well yes of course! I get plenty of protein so no worries. I have looked into it and its perfectly healthy and easy to do.
I am now 12 weeks and our Nuchal appt went great! Everything looked good and the Dr even did a “new” gender test. They call it the “Angle to Dangle” Measurement. How Funny is that! Baby Hebert’s angle appears to be boy but no need to go out and buy all Blue stuff. I will wait until I get the for sure sign. Archie and I are super excited! And by the way it is no coincidence that my due date is smack in the middle of hunting season. I promise I did not do that on purpose! So from now on this is how I plan on updating the family with pictures and news so stay tuned….. LOVE! Here are some pics from our last appt. I was 11 weeks and 5 days here.
Here Baby Hebert is doing Crunches in my belly. Already working out, takes after his mommy already! ;)
