July 4th and the snot!

July 4th weekend we went down to Tiki and stayed at the Nance's beachouse. There Emery had her first boat ride in Jon's boat. While she loved the ride she despised the life jacket I made her wear. I am very fearful of Emery around water because she loves it so much. I have nightmares of her drowning, crazy I know but the minute she is old enough for swim lessons I am there.
Emery and Scarlett playing in the pool in their matching swimsuits :)

Sorry for the bikini shot but it is VERY rare that I am in the picture with my sweet girl. So sometimes I just have to post some proof ya know!
Here is Emery trying to push the walker. She isn't quite ready for this yet.
Splashing!
Last weekend we went to Lake Charles for a short trip. Saturday she got in the pool and then all of a sudden took a nap on Stacey. This is shortly after a two hour nap. This I believe is when she started to feel bad. We left LC Sunday at 1130 and it was downhill from there. My sweet baby girl was sooo sick. SOOOO congested she couldn't breathe so she wouldn't eat. And this girl never misses a meal. Sunday night was bad. Monday night was REALLY BAD. Tuesday we went to the Dr and I stayed home from work. Dr said it was congestion and a "mild" ear infection. We got a script for amoxicillin and prayed things would turn around. Tuesday night was MISERABLE. I mean really almost unbearable. She didn't want to sleep laying down bc she couldn't breathe. And she was starving bc she couldn't eat. The only position that made her content was standing up. Well neither me nor Archie is good at sleeping standing up so we took turns. Wednesday I went to work bc honestly I needed a break. And I am happy to say That she slept good last night and seems to be on the up and up. I got this awesome snot sucker that has rocked Me and Emery's world. I doubted it when I purchased it at HEB because the packaging did not make it look too powerful, but let me tell you it is magnificent. It is crazy the things I am thankful for these days. I used to be thankful for a great bottle of Pinot Noir, now I rejoice over the goldmine of a snot sucker I found! I would not change a THING! I love my little family.
This is a pic of her last night. I sent this to my mom and she said Emery looked like a little boy in this pic :( I had her shirt off because I rubbed her chest, neck, and back down with Vick's. I was pulling out all the stops to make her feel better. She is getting brave walking around the furniture and her toys. But for some reason the push walker thing she just wont do.... Who knows! I am looking forward to Jessica's wedding on Saturday and Girls day and night in Tiki Saturday night!

Life is but a dream

Sometimes I just sit back and look at Emery and feel so blessed. I mean pinch me because I do feel as though I am dreaming from time to time. We recently went in for Our ten year high school reunion and while it was so fun and wonderful seeing old friends I think what I took away from it was even better. And the song by Garth Brooks "unanswered prayers" sums it up. I am so lucky to have such an Amazing Man by my side. I am proud of what we have accomplished so far. Emery is such a great mix of us both And I am so in love with the little family we have. I am so lucky! Ok enough mush mush!
Emery is standing up now. Not very steady but she's getting there
Fathers Day brunch in the Woodlands. Happy Father's Day Archie! We love you tons! Speaking of Archie I can finally announce that he has accepted a new job that is closer to us. It will be more travel but he is very excited about this new opportunity and so are we :)
This is how my munchkin fell asleep last week. She looked uncomfortable but she was oh so tired so i Just left her alone.
She loves crawling through the tunnel! Thanks Suz for such a fun gift!
This is showing ALL the boxes we were shipped for the Snow cone hut. We have two High school boys working it and it is starting off slower than anticipated but we are going to try and stick it out a couple more weeks. So if you need a snow cone go by and check it out!

A few "firsts"

Can you believe the month of May is gone??? Really that was fast! Above is Emerys first time in a swimming pool. She loved it! And I was nervous the whole time.
Emery now sits in the cart at the grocery store. I have since bought another cart seat thingy bc this one... well I couldnt figure it out so I went and got a Floppy seat cover at BRU.
Emery is on the move now!
Stacey and her kids came to town for a baseball tournament so we got to spend Saturday with them. So fun!!! this is Emery and Reeves at the Market Street fountain
Avalynn, Emery, Reeves and Annalina all in my tub. Splish Splash!
This is how i get ready in the mornings. Toys all over my bathroom floor.
This was the day she turned 7 months. She also got two teeth and is officially a crawler :)
And this was Memorial Day!
She is all over the place now and is loads of fun. I feel like she is out of the "baby" stage :(. I miss her everyday I go to work. I know I have mentioned this to a few of you but I would give up my right foot to be a stay at home mom. I pray one day That this will be possible. I want to spend every second with her. Oh and I am ready for #2! Yes I know you are saying I'm nuts but whenever is fine with me! But to Plan it out of Crawfish season we need to wait a few months. I Love Emery to pieces and we are soaking her up!
